The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a strategic axis in Hurricane. We strive day after day to improve ourselves for the good of our employees and for our company to have a more positive impact on the planet.
THE CONSTRUCTION OF OUR APPROACH
We have been working for two years on the integration of an approach known as the ‘ CSR ‘ within our company.
Supported by the consulting company SANAE, we move gradually in a new vision of our development to create a real social responsibility policy.
We are aware that the path is long to become a socially responsible and ethical.
We do not consider it perfect, but we have set ourselves the goal to always do better to protect the environment and striving for continuous improvement of our activities.
Without greenwashing, we are proud to highlight the efforts of responsibility that we have already put in place and introduce you to the goals that we set for the coming years.
OUR ACTIONS, OUR COMMITMENT
We have a heart to put in place, within our organization, several devices that incorporate a strong commitment to environmental, social and economic. After a first step of support still in progress, we are working on the integration of issues related to CSR, to the set of management and our employees.
A Steering Committee meets quarterly to :
Reflect on and develop the approach.
Make the balance on the points of advance.
Develop new concrete actions.
Certification ISO 20121
The FISE is the key event of our business, that is why we chose it as a model for our CSR development with a certification of the standard of responsible management of the sector of event management is the ISO 20121 obtained for editing 2025.
THE MOST RECENT ACTIONS CARRIED OUT BY HURRICANE
The signing of the Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, the member States of the united nations has set 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS). A universal standard to the height of the important issues facing our planet, in order to :
- in order to effectively combat global warming ;
- the fight against poverty and to build a world that is both more sustainable and more inclusive by 2030.
Just like the States and citizens, businesses are invited to participate in the conduct of this agenda of change.
We have therefore confirmed our CSR commitments by the signing of the Charter and identified the SDGS on which we can have the biggest impact. We have put in correlation with our purpose and our strategic plan to facilitate the readability of our actions and of our contribution.
The signing of the Charter for climate action of the International Cycling Union (UCI)
In partnership with the UCI to participate in the development of BMX Freestyle, Hurricane supports its employees and sign the Charter of his partner in favour of reducing the impact of its activities.
A CSR policy is revised every year :
Built on the basis of our commitments such as the SDGS, our CSR policy is the guideline of our actions, allowing us to be a player in sustainability by taking humans and the environment at the heart of our responsibilities.
In the spirit of a continuous improvement process, we are revising our policy in accordance with the progress made and the new action plan.
A new Policy ofResponsible Purchasing :
In the Face of the questioning of current consumption trends, in the context of economic, social and environmental weakened, we must be aware of the impact of our business and prepare the balance sheet.
In the framework of the general principles of our CSR Policy, the establishment of a Responsible Purchasing Policy is essential and allows us to act on the market while protecting the environment.
By integrating these principles into our operations and our management, we strive to contribute positively to the society and to theenvironment, while creating meaningful experiences and lasting for its global community of lovers of extreme sports and urban culture.
