The index of professional equality between women and men
The French Law No. 2018-771 for the freedom to choose one’s professional future created the Equal Pay Index for Women and Men. This index allows companies with more than 50 employees to measure, in complete transparency, the pay gap between the sexes and to highlight their points of progress.
This index, out of 100 points, is calculated from the following four indicators:
- the gender pay gap by professional category;
- the difference in the distribution of individual increases (over the last two years in our case);
- the number of employees increased on their return from maternity leave;
- parity among the 10 highest salaries.
